Moderately salt tolerant, grazable herb with many known uses in folk medicine.

Perennial herb, with woody stock, with stem and petioles, densely hairy. Stipulate. Leaves 2-4 paired, with oblong, obtuse, leaflets 1-4 cm long and 0.5-1 cm broad. Racemes terminal or opposite leaves. Flowers 8-10 mm long. Bracts minute. Calyx 4-6 mm long, villose. Corolla light pink; standard hairy at back. pod ovoid, obliguely mucronate-beaked, densely hairy, 1-seeded, about 1 cm long. Seeds reniform, brown. 

Flowering from February to July.
