Annual or perennial, erect, 50-80 cm high, green, with many branches, more less glabrous. Leaflets 3-6 pairs, obovate-oblong, obtuse, mucronate, 1.5-3.5 cm long and 5-12 mm broad, stipules narrow. INflorescence raceme, leaf-opposed. Bracts 2-4 mm long or as long as pedicel. Calyx pubescent, teath longer than tube, 3-5 mm long. Corolla pale violet, purple or pink; standard 6-10 mm long, pubescent outside. Stigma penicillate to almost glabrouse. Pod 3-5 cm long, 3-4 mm wide, appressed, pubescent. Seeds ovoid, small, brown. 

Flowering from October to May.
Rocky and sandy regiones.
