Honey nectar plants.

Woolly-canescent shrub, up to 60 cm high. Lower leaves short-petioled, obvate cuneate, obtuse, 3-4 toothed at the tip, 1-3 cm long, floral leaves smaller, opposite at regular intervals, of 1-3 cm along stems, paired leaves, rounded, with serrated tips. Flowers clustered from swollen, wolly leafy nodes, whorls numerous, spiked, 6-10 flowered each. Calyx white-hirsute, tubular or campanulate, 8-10 toothed. Corolla-tube white, included, 1-1.5 cm long; lower lip trifid, the middle lobe larger; upper lip erect, concave, crown villous. Flowering from March-June.
