  • REMARKS: Wadi Wurayah National Park (WWNP) Miller & Morris (1988) report that this is the most drought resistant of the figs found in Arabia. Eating unripe fruit straight from the tree is reported to cause fits and tremors in both people and livestock.

Brown plant liquid is used to treat skin allergies resulting from external effects, and benefits vitiligo. Ever green, tree with stout trunk, much branched above. Leaves 8-12 cm long and 2-4 cm broad, blue-green, glabrous, glossy on upper surface, long petioled up to 8 cm, oblong-ovate or narrow-lanceolate, entire, rounded base and tapering to apex, with clear midrib and veins noticeable beneath. Fig 0.5-0.9 cm in diameter, pea-size shape, color ripening orange-red, in clusters in axils.
