Infusion of leaves used to treat abdominal and rheumatic pain.

Erect, densely glandular herb, often annual or sometimes perennial, 15-50 high, much branched at the base. Leaves trisect, with elliptical or oblanceolate leaflets, 5-22 mm long, 2-5 mm wide, each with a single nerve, on petioles as long as the blade. Flowers solitary in the axils of the bracts. Pedicels slender, 1-2 cm long, deflexed in fruit. Sepals 2-3 mm long, lanceolate, densely glandular. Petals 3-6 mm long, yellowish with purple-veined tips. Stamens 6. Fruit 2-5 cm long, strongly compressed, densely glandular, linear-oblong, 2-valved capsule, 5-10 mm wide. Seeds rounded, 2 mm in diameter, yellowish-brown, densely coverd with long white hairs. 

Flowering from February to April.
Sandy gravel, coastal regions, and rocky limestone places.
