Perennial sometimes annual herb, up to 35 cm high. Stems branched from woody base. Leaves digitate; lower trifoliate, petiolate upper ones simple, subsessile, dark green, glandular, lanceolate, oblong, obovate, 5-15 mm long, 2-5 mm broad. Flowers pedicelate in racemes, yellow, 6-9 mm long. Sepals 2-4 mm long, lanceolate. Petals 5-8 mm long, 2-3 mm broad, folded back. Stamens 6, shorter than petals. Fruit pod-like capsule, up to 1.5 cm long, 3-5 mm broad, oblong, erect, densely glandular with long persistent style, 3-8 mm long. Seeds many, glabrous, brown. 

Flowering from February to June.
Rocky and sandy gravel wadis and coastal regions.
