Delicate annual herb, 10-30 cm high, branching from base, rarely forming single erect stem. Stems and leaves tinged red, viscid, glandular-pubescent. Leaves in basal rosette, each linear-oblong or spathulate, 2-5 cm long, 1-2 cm wide. Flowers 5-8 mm long in panicled cymes. Calyx about 6 mm long, sepals fused at least at base. Petals 5, white to pink, linger than calyx. Stamens 10. Styles 2. Capsule brown, globular, dehiscing by 4-valves. Seeds many, reniform, brown, 1 mm long. 

Flowering from February to May.
Stony and gravelly wadis and foothills.
