Glaucescent annual herb, puberulent in lower part, glabrous and viscid above, 2-40 cm high. Stems divaricately branched, almost leafless above. Leaves 3-5 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, lanceolate to linear-subulate, acute. Inflorescence dichasial. Pedicels about as long as or longer than calyx. Bracts ovate, accuminate. Flowers about 1.5 cm long. Calyx about 1 cm long, cylindrical -club-shaped in fruit, green-nerved, teeth short, triangular, acute, ciliate. Petals-lamina, white, 2-parted with linear lobes. Capsule ovoid-oblong, nearly as long as or shorter than the carpophore. Seeds ear-shaped. 

Flowering from February to April.
