Annual or biennial herb, 8-25 cm high, fleshy, glandular-pubescent. Stems prostrate or ascending, sometimes erect, branched from the base. Leaves filiform, fleshy, acute, 1.5-3 cm long, 1-2 mm wide. Cymes leafy. Pedicels as long as calyx. Sepals 5, 3-5 mm long lanceolate to ovate, obtuse, scarious-margined. Petals pink, obovate, equal or shorter than sepals. Stamens 5-10. Capsule exceeding calyx. Seeds many, compressed, ovoid, brownish, mixed of winged and unwinged. 

Flowering from January to May.
Saline soil, fallow fields, coastal regions.
