Perennial, with white, stellate hairs. Stems prostrate or ascending up to 25 cm high. Leaves 0.8-2.5 cm long, 0.5-1.2 cm wide, petioled, ovate-elliptical, acute, entire. Flowers minute. Sepals 2-3 mm long, oblong, hairy. Petals not clawed, scarcely exceeding the sepals. Fruit 0.7-1.5 cm long, quadrangular, more or less compressed to strongly curved, tapering above, densely stellate-hairy; valves torulose. Stigma lobes thick, triangular-lanceolate. Flowering from February to May.
Rocky wadis and sandy gravel soil.
