Prostrate herb, 5-25 cm high, appressed-canescent, almost radially branched. Leaflets up to 15 mm long, 4-7 mm broad, obovate, obtuse, tapering at base, pilose below. Stipules smaller than the leaflets. Flowers 1-4, axillary. Peduncled 2-5 mm long. Calyx 3-5 mm long, hairy, teeth subequal. Standard mauve, obovate, 4-5 mm long; keel bent at a right angle. Pod slender, 10-20 mm long, about 2 mm broad, 8-12 seeded, valves persistent, curling spirally after dehiscence. Flowering from February to April.
