Highly salt tolerant. It is popularly used to treat many diseases, as the decoction of the stems of the plant is used as a laxative and diuretic. Rigid, erect, spinous shrub, 1-3 metes high. Stems much branched and varying in spine size, 1-2cm long, mostly pubescent.
