Perennial puberulous herb from fusiform root. Stem prostrate, decumbent on ascending 20-80 cm long. Slender, divaricately branched, cylindrical, swollen at the nodes. Leaves opposite to whorl, unequal, broadly ovate on suborbicular, obtuse to rounded at the base, undulate at the margins 3-6 cm long and 1-3 cm broad. Petioles 1-4 cm long, slender, puberulent. Flowers in small umbels or terminal corymbs and forming leafy axially panicles perianth 0.2-0.5 cm long, campanulate, limb pink. Stamens 2-3, exerted filaments slender, pink, the anther lobes yellow. Stigma white capitate. Fruiting obovoid or oblong 0.4 cm long, 5-ribbed, glandular and papillose. Flowering from February to May.
Mountains and shallow sandy soil.
