Annual herb. Stem diffusely branched, glabrous to sparsely pubescent. Leaves sub-orbiculate to obovate, 1.5-4 cm long, obtuse or acute. Flowers axillary solitary, sessile. Calyx 5-lobed, oblong, white or pink. Petals absent. Stamens 10-15. Ovary more or less conical; style 1, persistent. Capsule 3-5 mm long; 4-6-seeded. Seeds black, 2 mm broad, wrinkled. Flowering from December to June.
