Erect, glabrous, perennial herb. Stems simple, 10-30 cm high, with an underground, globular tuber. Basal leaves fleshy, orbicular, peltate, long-petioled, blad 2-5 cm in diameter, crenate or with round-toothed; upper leaves small, linear, dentate. Flowers pendulous in simple, dense racemes. Pedicels 1-2 mm long. Bracts lanceolate, about 3 mm long. Sepals minute, 1-2 mm long. Corolla greenish-white or yellowish, tubular, urceolate, 0.5-1 cm long, lobes 5-clefts. Nectariferous scale-like, oblong. Seeds many, small. Flowering from February to April.
