Perennial shrub, prostrate. Stem woody, variously branched, white canescent when young. Leaflets 3-7 mm long and 2-4 mm broad, oblong-obovate, mucronulate, pubescent on both sides. Racemes short-peduncled, shorter than leaves. Flowers 2-4 mm long. Pedicel shorter than calyx. Calyx 1-2 mm long, pubescent. Corolla scarlet, standard 3-4 mm long. Pods deflexed, oblong, 5-10 mm long, 3-5 mm broad, straight, flat, pubescent, 2-5 seeded, valves keeled. Flowering from February to April.
