Honey nectar plants.
Perennial, erect to ascending, diffusely white branched shrublet, up to 50 cm high, arising from woody rootstock, rather softly pubescent. Leaves 7-15 mm long, 3-12 mm wide, greyish green; lower petiolate, ovate-lanceolate, obtuse or acute, entire or undulate; upper leaves sessile to subsessile, prominently nerved below. Flowers yellow, sessile. Calyx 2-3 mm long, hirsute. Corolla-tube silky without, glabrous within, one and a half as long as calyx; lobes linear-triangular with apices often inflexed. Anthers about 1 mm long. Stigma conical, bifid, hairy. Nutlets 4, large, densely silky or nearly glabrous, 2-3 mm long. Flowering from March-April.
