Forage.
Erect or decumbent, annual to biennial herb, 30-120 cm high. Leaflets of lower leaves obovate and the upper ovate-lanceolate, serrate, 8-25 mm long, 4-12 mm broad, retuse-apiculate at thee apex, more or less sparsely appressed-hairy on the lower surface. Stipules 3-6 mm long, petiolule shorter. Inflorescence a 4-10 cm long, raceme, slender, many-flowered, much elongated and lax in fruit, hairy. Bracts 1-2 mm long, subulate, membranous, shorter than the pedicels. Calyx 2-3 mm long, campanulate, teeth almost equal. Corolla yellow, about twice as long as the calyx, wing and standard equal, longer than the keel. Pod 3-5 mm long, ovoid, glabrous or hairy, transversely rugose, usually 1-seeded. Seeds ovoid, small, yellowish-green, smooth. Flowering from February to April.
Sandy soil, rocky slopes, orchaed, and fields.
