Forage.
Annual, erect herb, 20-40 cm high. Stem usually branched above, nearly glabrous. Stipules 5-10 mm long, oblong-ovate, acuminate. Leaflets obovate, hairy, 5-15 mm long, 2.5-8 mm broad, margin slightly denticulate, around thw upper half. Petioles of lower leaves up to 5 cm long. Inflorescence dense, globose, 1-2 cm in diameter; peduncles 0.4-2 cm. Flowers pink, sessile, ebracteate, spiny-looking of the subulate, calyx-teeth, equal to or longer than the corolla. Pod shortly ovate, include in calyx tube. Seeds spherical. Flowering from February to April.
