Honey nectar plants.

Suffrutescent, 20-40 cm high, greyish-green, woolly-canescent, branched from base. Branches rigid, eache ending in a large, short-pedunculate head. Leaves obovate to spathulate, tapering to the base, repand, entire or fringed-toothed. Heads discoid, nearly flat, golden yellow flowered, on short thick peduncles. 2-3 cm in diameter, outer bracts of involucre spathulate at the tip, more or less reflexed; inner ones nearly longer than the florets. Pales of receptacle truncate at the tip, abruptly cuspidate into a bristle. Achenes 3-4 mm long, 4 angled. Flowering from February-April.
