  • REMARKS: Extremely poisonous. Contains several poisonous substances, such as carboxyatractylosid that caused death in camels in 1989. This plant was recorded only from Jabel Qatar near Al Ain in 1983. By 1989 it had spread along the mountain front from the Hatta-Dubai Road southwards. Several unsuccessful attempts have been made to eradicate it.

Annual or perennial, up to 70cm high. Stems many from a woody stock, erect, branched. Stems and leaves glabrous above; pubescent or villous and viscid below. Leaves fleshy, yellowish-green, narrowly-spathulate, tapering into short petiole, either entire or upwards-apex, 3-dentate, glabrous above and hairy below, 2-4 cm long, 1--1.5 cm broad; cauline leaves smaller and narrower.  

Flowering from February to May.
