Shrubs, 1-2 meter high, glandular-puberulent, richly branched and leafy, ending in many-headed dense corymbs. Leaves ovate-oblong or lanceolate, acutish, usually serrate, often tapering towards base, 3-6 cm long. Heads numerous. Involucre 3-5 mm long; involucral bracts broad, dry and rigid, slightly hairy. Florets pale yellow or pink. Achenes glabrous. Pappus much longer than achenes. Flowering from March to October.
