Perennial with woody base and many erect or ascending branches, 15-40 cm high, grayish, with appressed white hairs. Leaves linear, 1-4 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, entire. Petals rose or purple, 1-1.5 cm long, longer than sepals. Stigma nearly 2-lobed. Style short, 1 mm long. Fruiting pedicels 3-6 mm long. Silicle or silique-oblong, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 0.7-1.2 cm broad. Seeds 2-rows, with a broad membranous circular wing. Flowering from January to April.
Rocky places and shallow sand.
