Honey nectar plants. Dill is grown widely in Fujairah, where its leaves and seeds are used as an herb or spice for flavoring food. ornamental, melliferous plant.
Annual, glaucescent, strongly smelling, 20-50 cm high. Leaves 3-4-pinnate, with fifiform, mucronate lobe, upper leaves shorter than the lower and reduced. Peduncles up to 15 cm long. Rays 8-30, nearly equal. Bracts and bracteoles absent. Fruit 4-6 mm long, dark brown, dorsal and intermediate ridges distinct, lateral narrowly pale winged. Flowering from February-May.
Plantation, roadsides. Cultivated in private farms.
