Honey nectar plants.
Annual, 5-15 cm high, appressed, canescent-tomentose. Stems erect or ascending, many branches from near base. Leaves small, oblong in outline, pinnatisect or bipinnatisect; lobes short, linear-oblong. entire, or 3-fid, 1-2.5 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide. Heads 1-2 cm in diameter. Involucre bracts 4-6 mm long, appressed hairy, lanceolate, acute, scarious-margined, the innermost ones obtuse, scarious at apex. Ligulate - florest female, obovate-oblong, white. Disk-florets with globose-inflated tube, corolla-tube glabrous. Achenes 1-2 mm long, obconical, ribbed and obscurely tuberculate; rim at apex of achenes elevated on one side. Flowering from February-March.
