Annual, stems square, unbranched or branched at base, erect, up to 10(-25) cm, aromatic, covered with soft hairs. Lower leaves oval, 0.8-1.5* 1-2 cm, on stalks as long or longer than leaf, scalloped edge. Upper leaves narrower and with very short stalk. Flowers pale blue in 4-6-flowered whorls, tube c. 8 cm long. Lower lip 3-lobed, upper lip with two short lobes with 2 longitudinal folds inside. Fruit oblong, brown nutlets. Flowering from February to April.
Among rocks in mountains at medium to high elevations.
