perennial herb, 30-80 cm high, branched from base, appressed-hairy, with sparse intermixed spreading hairs. Stems not much branched, ascending or prostrate. Leaves 15-40 mm long, 3-8 mm wide, sessile; the lower leaves bigger, linear-oblong to oblanceolate; the upper smaller lanceolate, attenuate, acute to acuminate; margin mostly entire, with or without spreading hairs. Flowers 1-3, on long patent axillary peduncles. Bracts linear to lanceolate, acute, 5-7 mm long. Pedicels shorter than the calyx. Sepals 5 mm long, densely pilose, ovate-tringular, acute. Corolla pinkish-white to pink, 10-12 mm long, with five hairy bands outside. Ovary glabrous; style as long as stigma, glabrous. Capsule 4-5 mm long. Seeds black, short, pubescent.  

Flowering from February to April.
